In 2023, the State Fire Marshall performed an inspection of the planned venue and declared the space was not up to code. After weeks of preparation, performers and organizers had to change venues in a matter of hours.

Charles Booker 2020 Senate Race
Charles Booker is Kentucky's youngest Black state lawmaker and serves in the Kentucky House of Representatives for the 43rd district, the poorest zipcode in the state. Booker was a candidate in Kentucky's 2020 senate primary race, but lost to former Marine pilot Amy McGrath.
EMW Women's Surgical Center
EMW Women's Surgical Center in Louisville is the last clinic that offers abortion services to women in the state of Kentucky. A pro-choice group, Louisville Clinic Escorts, will come throughout the week to help protect women from harassment by protestors. Escorts wear bright orange vests that read ""Pro-choice Clinic Escort" to differentiate themselves, and will create a human barrier around the property line of the clinic, which protestors are not allowed to cross. Protestors will often engage in prayer, approach women, display graphic images of aborted fetuses or preach sermons over a loud speaker.
